The Shield Of Faith: How To Erase All Darts Of The Enemy

Ephesians 6:16 (KJV):

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

It’s no secret that Satan and his demons are actively working to destroy our lives and faith. But how can we defend ourselves from their fiery darts? Today, let’s dive into how we can use faith in Christ and the Word of God to resist the enemy and walk in victory.

1 – The Darts Of The Enemy

Intrusive Thoughts

As long as we live in this world, we are in spiritual warfare. There’s no middle ground. In war, the only choices are to fight or be defeated. Satan works relentlessly, day and night, trying to destroy our purpose, our peace, and ultimately, our soul.

The enemy’s darts often begin with attacks on the mind, intrusive, dark thoughts meant to discourage or lead you into sin. When these thoughts arise, it’s not the time to be passive. That’s when we must rise up, rebuke the enemy in Jesus’ name, and increase our times of prayer and fasting.

The Bible even tells us that some demons only come out through prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). From personal experience, I’ve learned this: “New levels, new devils.” Just like in video games, the more you grow spiritually, the stronger the attacks may become.

The enemy studies your weaknesses and uses distractions to pull your guard down. Once you’re spiritually lazy, he strikes hard. That’s why we must remain disciplined and spiritually alert.

Unfortunately, as long as we have breath with our bod we will have to fight against Satan and his Demons. See, in War there is no escape, the only options is to kill or to be killed by the enemy, the Devil will work day and night to destroy our lives and lead us to hell.

The darts of the enemy are stronger attacks, usually the enemy attacks occurs on the mind first, he knows that once he take someone mind, to destroy them completely is a matter of time. When intrusive thoughts start to pop up it is time to resist the enemy, rebuke in Jesus name and to increase in fasting and prayer periods.

See, the Bible even says that there are Demons that only can be cast out through fasting and prayer. One thing that i learned through my life when facing spiritual warfare is this: once the enemy see that the Demons that he send to attack you are not stronger enough to overcome you, he will send stronger Demons, just as in video games: “New Levels, New Devils”.

Do you really  believe that he won’t send demons that it will demand from you more moments of prayer and fasting? Off course he will, because he know that only those who have discipline will be able to overcome these and once he fill you with many distractions then suddenly he attacks you hard and there it comes your fall.

2 – What Is The Shield Of Faith

Romans 10:17 (KJV):

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

The Shield Of Faith

The shield of faith is our active belief in God’s promises, even when we can’t yet see the outcome. It’s through faith that we can quench every fiery dart of the enemy.

Ask yourself this: If I truly believe in God’s promises, why would I choose sin over obedience?
This is where the Word of God becomes crucial. Since faith comes by hearing the Word, Satan tries to distract you from reading or listening to it. He knows if your faith grows, his attacks will fail.

How many times have you felt convicted while watching a sermon or reading Scripture, and stopped yourself from sinning? That’s the power of the Word in action.
To grow in faith, you need to be in the Word daily. When we ignore Scripture, we become an easy target. But when we use the Word of God to build our faith, we are equipped to resist and even counterattack the enemy’s schemes.

Conclusion

Today we learned how to actively resist the enemy through faith and God’s Word. God doesn’t need us, but He chooses to work through us. Let’s honor Him by using our faith to fight back and stand firm in the battle.

The enemy is working hard to bring us down, so let’s work even harder to destroy the works of darkness and lift high the name of Jesus. Victory is ours through Him!
