Have you ever asked yourself how strong the impact of anxiety is in our lives?
God has a promise for every single person on Earth, but the issue is that many, even though they are Christians, choose to allow anxiety to take root in their lives. As a result, many are not living the abundant life God created them to live.
In today’s world, with the internet, people expect things to happen as fast as possible. While this may work for some things, it’s the total opposite when it comes to our relationship with God. God doesn’t change, and His requirements remain the same. Patience is still a test we must pass to receive and live out His promises for our lives.
Today, let’s talk about how the Devil uses anxiety to keep us stuck, preventing us from living in God’s purpose for our lives.

1 – Faith Is Key To Live A Breakthrough
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV):
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

When we talk about living a Christian life, faith is the foundation. According to the Bible, it is impossible to please God without faith. When God wants us to experience something greater in our lives, He will first test us. There is no way to live out God’s plan for us if we don’t believe that He can do what He has promised!
To have faith means to believe in the impossible. It means that, even though we cannot see it, we trust in God because if He has said something, He is faithful to bring it to pass. Anxiety becomes a terrible enemy when we reflect on this, because to be anxious is the opposite of having faith, it is to doubt God!
2 – Anxiety Is The Opposite Of Patience
James 1:3-4 (KJV):
“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

When you begin putting effort into building your faith, you receive the blessing of growing in patience. To live out God’s promises, it’s essential that you become a patient person. Why? Because God has a timing for your breakthrough, and unless you continue pushing through the narrow path until the right time comes, you won’t be able to experience what He has for you.
It’s like a cascading effect. When you rebuke anxiety and ask God to strengthen your faith, you naturally become a more patient person—something that is essential to accomplish God’s goals for your life.
3 – Anxiety Led To Murmur
Job 1:21 (KJV):
“Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

One of the reasons to avoid anxiety is that it can lead you to murmur against God. Remember, God is God, and doubting Him won’t help you grow or change His plans for your life. Instead of complaining, turn to prayer so He can help you navigate through these circumstances.
The Bible is full of examples where people chose to murmur against God because of their circumstances. And what was their fate? They died without experiencing God’s promises for their lives.
Instead of murmuring, begin giving thanks to God. Job is one of the greatest examples of humility. Even after losing all ten of his children, he gave thanks to God. He became a generational example of trust, showing that God can help us overcome even the worst situations. Job lived his breakthrough, and because of his faithfulness, God gave him double!
Conclusion
Being anxious doesn’t help, it only delays God’s promises for our lives and adds stress to our situations. It’s time to do our best to overcome this feeling. I know it’s not easy, but remember, Christ never promised it would be. Instead, He said we could be of good cheer because He has overcome the world.
Through Christ, and only in Him, can we overcome anxiety and live out God’s purposes for our lives. My advice to you? Rebuke anxiety, read your Bible, and live out what God has for you!
