Matthew 6:34 (KJV):
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

As Christians, we may sometimes be tempted to feel anxious about certain things, whether it’s a promise God has made to us or a promotion at work. Today, we’ll dive into how we can overcome this common challenge that many of us face in our daily lives as believers in Christ.
We’ll also explore why so many Christians struggle with anxiety. What is the cause? Is it possible to overcome this enemy? Let’s find out!
1 – Lack Reading The Word Of God
Psalm 119:97 (KJV):
“O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.”

The Bible is full of examples of how to deal with anxiety, but sometimes we simply choose not to read it! This is one of the biggest challenges for Christians. We believe in God and even repent of our sins, yet we often limit our engagement with His Word to just what we hear in church, without developing the discipline of daily reading.
Don’t wait until you feel a deep desire to read the Word of God. Make it a habit to read in all circumstances. When you create this habit, it will eventually become as routine as brushing your teeth. As you read, God will constantly speak to you through His Word. So, in order to overcome challenges like anxiety, reading the Bible is essential!
2 – Too Much Time On Social Media
Colossians 3:2 (KJV):
“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Spending your entire week scrolling through social media won’t help you at all. In fact, it will destroy your productivity and steal your moments with God. On top of that, social media actually intensifies anxiety because it leads you to compare your life with others.
Have you ever asked yourself how many videos you watch each day? These days, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok are the most popular forms of entertainment, with videos lasting only 15 to 30 seconds. But when you spend too much time watching these, you’re training your brain to expect information instantly. Even if you don’t realize it, this can contribute to anxiety.
Anxiety is the feeling of needing something immediately. When your brain gets used to receiving information quickly, you start to lose the ability to wait for things, even when it’s necessary. One reason many marriages don’t last these days is because people don’t wait to meet a godly partner. Instead, they rush into relationships driven by the anxiety of getting married as quickly as possible. Don’t let that be you. Take a break from social media for a while and avoid the temptation to rush!
3 – Lack Doing Exercises

When you don’t exercise, insomnia can become very common. However, if you’re not dealing with issues that drain your energy, like fornication or pornography, there’s often too much energy stored up in your body. That’s why it’s important to engage in regular exercise to stay healthy.
Exercise also helps you build a habit of discipline, which will eventually benefit other areas of your life. For example, once you develop the discipline to go to the gym, it will become easier to create the habit of reading the Word of God. Over time, you’ll find it simpler to cultivate positive habits in your life.
As we mentioned earlier, insomnia is often caused by anxiety. By starting a regular exercise routine, you’ll improve your sleep quality, which will ultimately help you avoid the negative impact of sleepless nights on your health.
