Matthew 6:25 (KJV):
“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?”

Have you ever found yourself feeling anxious about something? Maybe it’s the stress of not having enough money to pay the bills, struggling to find a job, or even not having met the right woman to marry yet. These situations can be really tough to deal with—am I right?
The good news is that the Bible gives us principles to overcome any situation. But what about anxiety? Can God’s Word and a strong prayer life really help us with that too? Today, let’s dive into what the Bible teaches us about anxiety and discover the steps we need to take to overcome this difficult emotion. 1 – Meditate In The Word Of God
Psalm 1:2 (KJV):
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”

Meditating on the Word of God is just as important as eating. Think about it—if you don’t feed your spirit, it won’t have the strength it needs. And if you’re only going to church on Sundays, that’s not enough. Meditation is more than just reading; it means taking time to reflect on what you’ve read, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you and help you grow.
God’s Word is also a powerful tool to help us through tough times—including anxiety. The Bible is full of guidance on how to overcome anxiety and reminds us why it’s pointless to worry about things we can’t control. When you spend time in the Word, you’re already one step closer to victory over anxiety.
2 – Intensify Your Prayer Life
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV):
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Anxiety can cause a lot of problems in our lives. Have you ever been so worried about something that you couldn’t even sleep? I’ve been there too. In many cases, insomnia is the result of heavy stress caused by anxiety.
My advice for those moments is this: go to the Father in prayer. If you ask God to help you through it, He will. Only Christ can give us the peace that goes beyond all understanding. When anxiety hits, that’s the time to deepen your prayer life and draw close to God—He will help you face even the toughest battles.
So if you’re struggling to find a job, go to God in prayer. If you’re looking for a godly woman to marry, or if you’re going through anxiety attacks—come to your Father in prayer. I promise you, He won’t let you down. Remember what Christ said: “I will be with you until the end of the age.”
3 – Declare The Word Of God
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV):
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

I remember a time when I was going through a really tough situation. It brought me so much stress and triggered several anxiety attacks. Even though I didn’t fully understand what was happening, I knew what I needed to do. I started diving into God’s Word like never before—reading it daily, memorizing verses, and declaring God’s promises over my life. I kept reminding myself that being anxious wasn’t going to help. I also watched sermons that helped build my faith.
What did I gain from that? Strength in Christ. Over time, the anxiety faded, and I grew both spiritually and in knowledge. That’s why my advice to you is this: choose to listen to God’s voice. Don’t believe the intrusive thoughts. Declare God’s promises over your life every single day—do it for hours if you need to. Just don’t put your trust in the lies of the enemy.
In moments of anxiety, you’ll always have two choices: believe God’s Word or believe the enemy’s. God loves us, but He won’t force us to choose Him—we have to decide for ourselves. So choose wisely.
